The Madhya Pradesh state public service commission helps in providing recruitment of various candidates by conducting exams and interviews. The recruitment is made through direct selection, promotions, transfer of services and written exam.

Eligibility Criteria For MPPSC
To appear for the MPPSC exam, the candidate should fulfill all the eligibility criteria set by the commission. The candidate should also produce original certificates that need to be produced during the appointment.
1. The candidate should be a citizen of India.
2. The candidate should be of 21 years of age and below 30 years.
3. Age relaxation is provided for candidates in reserve category, widows, physically handicapped and sports persons.
4. Minimum educational qualification of the candidate should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
5. Physical fitness is also required for some posts.
How to Apply For MPPSC Exam
It is important that the candidate fills the form so that he/she is able to sit for the MPPSC exam. The application form can be downloaded online from the official website www.mppsc.nic.in . After filling the form, the candidate has to scan the photograph and signature. It is also necessary to pay the application fee by debit banking or credit banking through online mode. The candidate should read the instructions carefully before filling the form. No blank spaces should be left as the form will be rejected and candidate has to apply again by paying more fees. Information is also provided regarding the filling method of form. Candidate can take the printout of the application form and save for further use.
The application fee is Rs. 60 and portal charges Rs. 35 for only the general candidates, candidates in reserved category have to pay Rs. 30 as application fee and Rs. 30 portal charges.
MPPSC Exam Pattern and Syllabus
Candidates have to know the syllabus and exam pattern for the post they are applying. Although various posts come with different syllabus and tests, it is important that the candidates take a look at the summary of the exam syllabus and pattern.
The exam comes in the pattern of Preliminary, Mains and Interview.
The preliminary exam consists of two papers that are of objective type and has multiple choice questions. They comprise of 450 marks. The subjects are general studies of 2 hours of 150 marks and paper II of optional subject chosen by the candidate that will be of 2 hours duration and 300 marks.
The main exam will consists of written exam and interview test. It comprises of seven conventional essay type questions. In total there are three compulsory subjects, general studies – 3 hours – 300 marks, general studies paper II – 3 hours – 300 marks and Paper III general Hindi – 3 hours – 300 marks. The rest is optional papers of 3 hours duration and should be the selection of the option provided.
